Helen E. McGeever, 99, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Wednesday March 5, 2025, at Embassy at East Mountain Nursing Home, Plains Twp. She was born in Wilkes-Barre the daughter of the late Daniel and Beatrice Myers McNeill. Helen attended E.L. Meyers High School. She worked at Passeri’s market prior to retirement. She belonged to Albright United Methodist Church, Wilkes-Barre prior to its closing. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William McGeever and grandson, William L. McGeever. Survived by son, William D. McGeever, Mountain Top, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday March 7, 2025, from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
