Obituary of Anita M. Swetter

Anita (Mosier) Swetter, 81, of Springville was peacefully called home on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Allied Services in Scranton. Anita was born on September 29, 1943, and was the daughter of the late George and Louise Johnson Mosier. She spent her childhood on the family farm in Terrytown, PA, and attended Wyalusing Area School District where she met the love of her life and husband, the late Robert P. “Bob” Swetter (d. 2020). Anita and Bob devoted 59 beautiful years to each other and their children, their love ever-growing and unwavering. Anita had an immeasurable amount of warmth and radiance, an endless amount of love that touched all who knew her. She was employed at The Epicurean Delight for many years and dedicated many more tending to the homes of several families with whom she developed close, lifelong bonds. She was also previously employed at Sire Power and a member of the Moose Lodge #1276. Anita greatly enjoyed spending time with family, camping, cooking, hosting for the holidays, game nights with friends, and watching Polkas with Bob. Above all, she was a master at making lasting memories. In addition to her parents and adoring husband, she is preceded in death by; a son John Philip Swetter; daughter, Amy Shrewsbury; brothers, Robert Mosier, George Mosier (Ann), Paul Mosier (Hila), Jack Mosier, Norris Mosier (Judy), John Mosier and her sisters, Vera Mosier, and Mary Ann Mosier. Anita is survived by her children: Pamela Phillips (John) of Springville, Lonnie Swetter (Laura) of New Milford, Cyndi DiGiacomo (Gene) of Lake Winola, and Bobby Jo Finkler (James Jr.) of Dalton; her brother, Larry Mosier (Jean); her sisters, Onalee Robinson (James), Thelma Harvey (Vern), and Alice Rivera (Phil); and her sister-in-laws, Geraldine Mosier and Winnie Mosier. She is also survived by her niece, Paula Wooster, as well as 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a great-great grandchild, several more nieces and nephews; and all who love her dearly. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Anita’s memory to the Black Walnut American Legion #328, Old Rt 6 Laceyville, PA 18623.
