Mooneen Bielecki, 82, of Plains Twp. passed away Tuesday April 1, 2025, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Peoria, IL the daughter of the late Charles Marcus and Helen Michline Gorski Levan. Mooneen graduated from Marymount High School, class of 1960. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Mooneen was a kindhearted woman who touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She never had an unkind word to say, was a calm, steady presence throughout her life, and never hesitated to help others. Mooneen was a devoted wife, a caring and tireless mother to her children, and a proud grandmother. Her ability to light up a room with her smile and her beautiful spirit was unforgettable. She set the example for her family through humility, generosity, hard work, thriftiness and giving to others without expecting anything in return. Mooneen had a deeply personal relationship with God and lived her faith daily in the way she treated others. Church was not just a part of her life; it was a place where she found peace and strength. Inspired by her son, Mooneen was also a powerful advocate for individuals with special needs, serving on various committees in Luzerne and Wyoming counties, and traveling to Harrisburg and beyond fighting for the rights of others who couldn’t fight for themselves. Mooneen’s legacy is one of love, faith, courage, and quiet strength. She is survived by her husband, John Bielecki, daughter, Tiona Beckley and her husband Jon, Clark Summit, son, John Paul Bielecki, Hanover Twp., granddaughter, Sarah Beckley, Waverly, grandson, Jon Carlton Beckley and his wife Courtney, Clark Summit, and sister, Helen Levan, Dallas.
