Please share a memory of Daniel to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Daniel Kubik, 73, of Wilmington, Delaware and formerly Exeter passed away April 2, 2025, at Accent Care Hospice, Newark, Delaware. Danny was born in Wilkes-Barre the son of the late James and Anna Drahusczak Kubik. He graduated from West Side Technical High School, class of 1969. He played for the Lackawanna County Eagles Football team for the 1971 and 1972 seasons. In 1973 Danny started with International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 542. He became a business representative in 1992 and held that position until he retired.
He was chairman of the Delaware County Committee of the Philadelphia, PA Building & Construction Trades. He was past president of Delaware County AFL-CIO. Danny was proud to serve membership of Local 542 and made it his mission to follow in the footsteps of his father and work in his trade.
Danny was a well-known presence everywhere he went. He was always noticed when he walked into a room. A large man with an even larger heart. If anyone needed anything he would always be there- and would never want recognition for his generosity. He suffered through his cancer battle with the help of his family and his very loyal and caring friends. His friends were truly there for him in his time of need.
