Patrica Ann Kwochko Navin, 73, passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was born on January 16, 1952, in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late John Kwochko and Helen (Basham) Kwochko. Patricia was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township High School, class of 1969, and a graduate of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, class of 1973. Patricia began her career teaching 7th and 8th grade at St. Vincent’s Holy Child in Plymouth, before stepping away to raise a family. Once her children had grown, she returned to the workforce, first at Priority Search in Kingston, and later retiring from Metz at Misericordia University in Dallas. Throughout her life she generously shared her time volunteering at Our Lady of Victory, Harvey’s Lake Little League, and Boy Scout Troop 693, all in Harvey’s Lake, as well as Boy Scout Troop 444 in Sweet Valley. In addition to Terrence Navin, her husband of 49 years, she was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, William Kwochko. Patricia is dearly missed by her children: Christopher Navin and his wife, Amanda, of Westminster, MD; Matthew Navin and his wife, Deirdre, of Edwardsville; Sarah Navin and her fiancé, Chris Chalfin, of Effort; and Mark Navin, of Harvey’s Lake. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Charlotte, Cody and Lily Navin. Also mourning her loss are her sisters: Barbara Ambrose of Georgetown; Shirl Stec and her husband Joesph, of Dallas; Sharon Hoban and her husband Tom, of Wilkes-Barre; sister-in-law Linda Kwochko, Ambler; and by her numerous nieces and nephews. A service celebrating the lives of both Patricia and Terry, and their reunion just in time for their 50th wedding anniversary, will be on Monday, May 12, 2025, at 7:00 pm from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 4:00 pm until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Patricia’s memory to the Blue Chip Animal Rescue Railroad Club, 974 Lockville Rd., Dallas, PA 18612 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
