Obituary of Frank P. Hohal

Frank P. Hohal, 68, of Wilkes-Barre passed peacefully away Tuesday May 20, 2025, at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp. surrounded by family. He was born in Wilkes-Barre the son of the late Michael and Ethel Wozney Hohal. Frank graduated from G.A.R. High School, class of 1974. He was employed as a heavy equipment operator for Wilkes-Barre City DPW prior to retirement. Frank was an active S.A.L and Legion Riders for American Legion Post 781, acting Vice president of The Ukrainian Literary Assoc. and A.B.A.T.E. of PA. Preceded in death by brother, Joseph Hohal. Survived by his wife of 49 years Suzan (Kane) Hohal, sons, Jason and his girlfriend Patty Fuller, Wilkes-Barre Twp., Daniel and his wife Erin, Exeter, grandchildren, Kayla and Justin, great-granddaughter, Oaklynn, brother, Michael and his wife Elizabeth, Wilkes-Barre, and niece, Morgan. He will be sadly missed by his fur babies OJ & Abby. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday May 24, 2025, from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre. A visitation for family and friends will be from 9:30 am until time of service. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Twp.
