Carolyn R. Amand, 80, of Hanover Township, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at her home. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, a daughter of the late Leo and Mary Nat Sydlo. Carolyn was a 1962 graduate of Coughlin High School. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a student loan officer at PNC Bank, Carolyn was also employed at Boscov’s Department Store in Wilkes-Barre. Carolyn was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish at St. Aloysius Church in Wilkes-Barre. She was a devoted mother, who will be sadly missed by her sons, Lee Bonning of Nanticoke and Richard Bonning and his wife, Kathleen, of Mountain Top. She is also survived by her sister, Diane Conklin and her husband, Bill, of Hanover Township; and by her nieces, nephews and numerous cousins. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will begin with a visitation on Thursday, July 24, 2025 from 9-10 am in St. Robert Bellarimine Parish at St. Aloysius Church, Barney and Division Street, Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10 am. Those attending the visitation and Mass are asked to go directly to the Church on Thursday. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township.
