Obituary of Catherine Prozeralik

Catherine Prozeralik, 85, of Hanover Township passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at Allied Services Meade Street Skilled Nursing, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, the daughter of the late Simon and Mary Sponauer Marowski. Catherine was a 1958 graduate of E.L. Meyers High School. She was a long-time parishioner of Exaltation of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Hanover Township. Catherine was employed at Eberhard Faber prior to devoting her life to raising her children. Her family and friends will always remember her hearty, contagious laughter. Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul J. Prozeralik, sisters, Veronica Marowski, Mary Gorski, Emily Conway, and brother, Charles Marowski. She is survived by daughter, Karen Tarnalicki, Hanover Twp., son, David Prozeralik, Hanover Twp.; grandchildren, Nicole Hanlon and her husband, Mark, Courtney Prozeralik and her husband, Mickey, Eric Prozeralik and his girlfriend, Mikayla; one great-grandchild, Mark Hanlon III; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. from Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. at Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church 420 Main Rd., Hanover Twp. Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery, Hanover Twp. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday, December 1, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
