Obituary of Michelle Welebob

Michelle (Shibby) Welebob, 52, of Wilkes-Barre Twp., passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2026. Michelle was born in Wilkes-Barre to Gerald and Patricia (O’Malley) Welebob. She graduated from Coughlin High School and went on to advance her education by attaining certificates from local trade schools, as well as her associate’s degree in social work from LCCC. Michelle was a dedicated employee of Modern Gas, Avoca, PA. She was a member of the American Legion Post 815 Auxiliary. Throughout her years she enjoyed belonging to several local shuffleboard and dart leagues. She enjoyed concerts, clearance shopping and vacations. She possessed a special love and compassion for her close friends and family, as well as numerous animals. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her partner Jen Goman, Wilkes-Barre Twp., fur babies, Miss Swiss, Brie, Kraft, Pepper, Blu, Diego, Ham, Puddin, Penny, Binx and Pip; sister Lorrie (Welebob) and husband Robert Williams, Ashley; nephew Robert Williams and fiancée Tiffany Loucks of Wilkes-Barre Twp.; niece Amber (Williams) and husband Jake Boyle, Mountain Top; great nephews Kameron and Lincoln Williams, Wilkes-Barre Twp.; Seth and Holden Boyle, Mountain Top. Also surviving are aunts Sherry O’Malia, Rita Welebob; uncle John Welebob; cousins Amie O’Malia, Cindy (O’Malia) and husband Jack Thomas; Kasey Welebob; Fedor and wife Gretta (Heimbach) Welebob and son Fedor Welebob; Wally Gauthier and his children Sabrina Magnotti and Kale Gauthier. Michele was preceded in death by grandparents Patrick and Eleanor (Stanko) O’Malley, Walter and Victoria (Rufsheski) Welebob; uncles Martin O’Malia, Raymond Welebob; aunts Geraldine Welebob, Florence (Welebob) Gauthier.
