Maria Snyder, 76 formerly of Avoca passed away on March 19, 2026, at Highland Manor Nursing Home, Exeter. She was born in Pittston on December 4, 1949, and was a graduate of Pittson Area High School, class of 1967. Her family would like to thank the staff at Highland Manor for their care and kindness over the years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary E. Snyder Sr. and parents Joseph and Theresa (Korick) Cituk. Survived by her son Jason Bartoli and his wife Megan, sister, Diane Policare, stepson, Gary E. Snyder Jr. and his wife Jennifer, grandson, Gabe, granddaughters, Makayla, and Kylie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Ave. West Pittston. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home.
