Obituary of Marion L. Bomber

Marion Louise Bomber, 82, of Wilkes-Barre Twp, passed away at Mountaintop Rehab and Healthcare Center in Mountaintop on Sunday, July 26, 2026. She was born in Wilkes-Barre to the late Thomas and Ruth Edwards Lyons on March 29, 1944. She was one of six siblings. Marion worked as a seamstress in the garment industry, and retired as a dietary aide from John Heinz Rehab. She was a member of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Wilkes-Barre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Bomber, brothers Tom Lyons and Bill Lyons, and her sister Dorothy Lyons. Marion is survived by her son James (Sherry) Youkoski of Wilkes-Barre Twp, her brothers, Ron Lyons and his wife Peggy (Wilkes-Barre) and Jim Lyons (Virginia Beach) and sister, Ruth Galbraith (Wilkes-Barre). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Sarah, Stephen, William, Katie, Cyndi, and Kassy; great grandchildren Cameron Jr and Ava along with the rest of the Bomber family. Marion is also survived by several nieces and nephews. In accordance with her wishes, funeral services were private and held at the convenience of the family. The family would like to thank the staff at Serenity Hospice and Mountaintop Rehab and Healthcare for their care and compassion for Marion. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home on Park Ave in Wilkes-Barre.
