Obituary of Dolores A. Loughnane

Dolores Ann Loughnane,83, of Warrior Run passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at Allied Nursing Home, Wilkes-Barre. She was born in Wilkes-Barre to the late Michael and Stephanie Zawol Lopacinski. Dolores graduated from Marymount High School, class of 1958. Employed at Blue Cross and later retiring from Social Security. She was a kind and gentle person who had great devotion to Padre Pio. Dolores loved running annual trips to the American Music Theatre’s Christmas Show and filling the buses with friends. She was known for her delicious homemade Easter eggs and bread, which benefited Holy Family Parish and St. Al’s Parish fundraisers. Dolores’ family meant the world to her, especially her godson, Richard Michaud. A very special thank you to her dear friends and caregivers Sylvia and Mary Kay for their outstanding care and kindness. Preceding her in death were her husband, Paul Loughnane, Infant sister, Anna, and brother, Michael Lopacinski Jr. Dolores is survived by nieces, nephews, and godson, Richard Michaud. A mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. from Our Lady of Hope Parish, 40 Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Per Dolores request there will be no viewing, and everyone is asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow at Maternity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, West Wyoming.
