Obituary of Dolores Williams

Dolores “Dee” Williams, 81, of Wilkes-Barre passed away Monday August 19, 2024, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. She was born in Hanover Twp. The daughter of the late William and Ann Temarantz Senghaas. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School, class of 1961. Prior to her retirement she worked at Wal-Mart. She was a member of St. Andrews Parrish, Wilkes-Barre. She met her late husband, Gower, at a family-owned store, Take II Video, in the mid 1980’s and enjoyed 32 years of marriage until his passing in 2020. In life, they would do puzzles together and frame them, mostly train pictures as they were always train enthusiasts (Gower retiring from Conrail Railroad after many years of service). She was preceded in death by her husband, John “Gower” Williams and infant sister, Ann Marie. Dolores is survived by her sister-in-law, Mary L. Pahler, Wilkes-Barre, nieces and nephews, Margaret (Bill) Sharksnas; Rita Pahler; James (Renate) Pahler; Linda Pahler; Thomas Pahler; several great nieces and nephews; and her dog Honey II. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 23, 2024, in the chapel at St Mary’s cemetery 1594 S. Main Street, Hanover Twp. A visitation will take place from 10:30 until time of service in the chapel. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
