Obituary of F. Lee Rhinesmith

F. Lee Janner -Rhinesmith, 76, of Kingston went home to be with the lord on August 24, 2024. She passed away at home with her loving family by her side. Lee was born August 1, 1948, at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Wayne, NJ. She was raised in Pompton Lakes, NJ. She was a graduate of Pompton Lake High School focusing on business classes. Lee met her true love in High School, Richard Janner, and they went on to have two daughters. They raised their family together until a medical condition robbed her “true love” from her. She worked in management until she bought her own business, Gram Lee’s Sweets N Treats in Hamlin, PA. This is where her grandchildren, Matthew and Christopher brought their baseball teams in for free ice cream after every win. You could always find Lee in the kitchen. She loved baking and cooking. There were always smells of food coming from her house. She was famous for starting food fights with all her friends when she made cream puffs. Besides spending time at her grandson’s baseball games and wrestling matches, she loved to go on cruises to see different islands, walking the Jersey shore boardwalk, and playing the one arm bandit. Lee also enjoyed going to the shore boating and crabbing with her family. She enjoyed visits with people, but you couldn’t leave without having coffee and one or more of her homemade treats. Before being bedridden, the last things Lee baked were pies for Tracy and her family. She was a force to be reckoned with. Lee was proceeded in death by her parents, Philip and Florence Sturr Sr, first husband, Richard Janner, and brothers Rev. Philip and Donna Sturr Jr and Roy Sturr. She is survived by her husband, Ed Rhinesmith, and her children Tracy Janner-Skelton and her husband Glenn of Jefferson Twp, and Lisa Constable and her partner Warren Thompson of Knoxville, TN, grandchildren, Matthew Janner and his wife Gladys of AZ, Christopher Janner and his partner Sonya of TX, Nicole Constable of TN, Mechelle Constable of TN, Jesse Constable of TN, and Andrew Skelton and wife Brittnay of Honesdale, and great grandchildren, Chloe Janner, Gavin Skelton, and Alexa Skelton. She is also survived by her unofficially adopted daughter Mandy Raviolli, nieces, nephews, and cousins. memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 14, 2024, from the Christ Community Church 100 West Dorrance St., Kingston, PA. funeral arrangements were entrusted to Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home, 717 Main St. Edwardsville.
