Obituary of Herman A. Curry

Herman A. Curry Jr., 66, of Nanticoke passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at home. He was born on January 29, 1958, in Abington Twp., Montgomery County to the late Herman and Grace Hutchings Curry Sr. Herman graduated from Delhaas High School and Pennco Tech, Bristol, PA. He was a crane operator at U.S Steel prior to his retirement. Herman played soccer and basketball! He was a long time Dallas Cowboys fan and then retired to the Las Vegas Raiders! He loved cars, motorcycles, fishing, sports, playing chess and most of all, family (including his dogs)! He always was the one with his phone out taking pictures of everyone. He loved traveling to visit his friends and eating good food. Herman was the life of the party, always walking around with a great smile and a warm heart! His sisters say he was a spoliled brat because he was the only boy (LOL), He will be missed! He was preceded in death by his son, Herman Curry III, Steven Curry, and sister, Wendy Curry. He is survived by his loving companion Renee Pry, son, daughters, Joan Saxon and her husband Damon, Wilkes-Barre, and Donna Curry, Philadelphia, grandchildren, Stormi Saxon, Skai Saxon, Savanna Saxon, Sofia Saxon, Kiyah Russell-Curry, Amiyah Curry, Alaysia Curry, Kaniyah Russell-Curry, Ki-Yana Singleton, Channing David, Kasir Russell-Curry, Aleah Curry, great-granddaughter, Nova Singleton, sisters, Diane Hutchings, Feasterville, PA, Laura Williams and her husband Robert, Iron City, NC, Denise Johnson, Bristol, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Monday December 9, 2024, from the Nat Gawlas Jordan Funeral Home 89 Park Ave. Wilkes-Barre.
