Obituary of Thomas F. Pockevich

Thomas F. Pockevich, 70, of Allentown passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at his home. He was born in Wilkes-Barre, a son of the late Frank and Dorothy Kaplanski Pockevich. Tom was a graduate of G.A.R. Memorial High School. He was formerly employed by Conrail and later by the Lehigh & Northampton Transportation Authority, prior to his retirement. Tom is survived by his wife, Carol Torrens Pockevich and by his sisters, Carol Yemola and her husband, Edward, Drums and Cathy Pockevich, Laurel Run. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Michael, Jennifer and Christina Yemola; Bryan Leikeim and Leah Kropp. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 am in St. Nicholas-St. Mary’s Parish, 226 S. Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Bear Creek. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9-10 am on Monday at the Church.
